Business Outreach

Cream City Foundation is interested in encouraging a culture of respect and acceptance for all workers, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.  Our three simple reasons are:

1. It's the right thing to do.
2. It helps support a productive workforce that makes Milwaukee competitive in the global market by helping retain and recruit young professionals, including LGBT leaders. They in turn become successful board and committee members.
   
3. It increases philanthropic giving.  By ensuring professionals can be who they are, they are more comfortable participating and investing in community activities.

To aid in this effort, we have created a new LGBT and ally professional network, QShare, and have partnered with corporate leaders to help them explore their own path towards inclusion of LGBT policies in their workplace.  This has led to the creation of a business luncheon and an upcoming report that would measure how our largest employers are doing in this area.
